Air Duct cleaning

Our air duct cleaning process includes removing dust, debris, and other contaminants from the air ducts in a building's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The purpose of air duct cleaning is to improve indoor air quality, promote efficient HVAC system performance, and maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Here is a step-by-step description of tour air duct cleaning process:

  1. Inspection: Our technician begins by inspecting the HVAC system and its air ducts. They assess the condition of the ductwork, identify any areas of concern, and determine the extent of cleaning required.

  2. Preparation: The technician takes necessary precautions to protect the surrounding areas, such as furniture, carpets, and walls. They may use drop cloths or plastic sheets to prevent dust and debris from spreading.

  3. Cleaning Equipment Setup: The technician sets up specialized equipment, including high-powered vacuums, brushes, and air whips. These tools are designed to dislodge and extract debris from the ductwork.

  4. Vent Covers and Registers Removal: The vent covers and registers are removed to access the interior of the ductwork. This allows for a thorough cleaning of the supply and return air ducts.

  5. Agitation and Loosening of Debris: Using brushes and air whips, the technician agitates the inner surfaces of the ducts. This process helps to loosen accumulated dust, dirt, pet dander, pollen, and other contaminants.

  6. Vacuuming: The high-powered vacuum is connected to the HVAC system at the main trunk line. The vacuum creates negative pressure, pulling the dislodged debris and contaminants into a containment unit, preventing them from spreading throughout the building.

  7. Cleaning of Other Components: In addition to the air ducts, the technician may clean other components of the HVAC system, such as the blower motor, fan, coils, and drip pans. This ensures that the entire system is free from dirt and debris.

  8. Sanitization and Mold Treatment (if necessary, at additional charge): If mold growth is detected or suspected, the technician may apply an all-natural, plant based sanitizing agent to eliminate bacterias and odors.

  9. Vent Covers and Registers Reinstallation: Once the cleaning process is complete, the vent covers and registers are reinstalled in their original positions. Our technician will seal all the access points was made during cleaning and go over before and after pictures.

  10. Final Inspection: The technician conducts a final inspection of the ductwork and HVAC system to ensure that everything is clean, properly reassembled, and functioning correctly.

Air duct cleaning is typically recommended on a periodic basis, depending on factors such as the level of contamination, indoor air quality concerns, and the specific needs of the building occupants. It is important to hire a reputable and certified professional to perform air duct cleaning to ensure a thorough and effective job. We use NADCA (National Air Duct Association) approved cleaning equipments. Our truck mounted vacuum system is a power vacuum capable of creating massive negative pressure to efficiently clean air ducts in houses sizes up to 3500 square footage.
